Requirements

Participants must meet the following inclusion criteria to be eligible for this clinical trial:

  • Women and Men diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes 
  • Ages 18 to 75  
  • HbA1c 7.0%-10.5% (tested at first appointment) 
  • BMI: 23-50kg/m2  
  • Stable body weight for 3 months ​ 
  • Treatment with a stable dose of metformin for at least 3 months  
  • Not taking insulin or GLP-1 treatments 
  • Health status is further evaluated by reviewing medical history, screening assessments, and visit with physician 
Age: 18-75
Sex: F or M
BMI: 23-50
Smoker or non-smoker

About study

The purpose of the study is to test the safety and effectiveness of the study drug in men or women who have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus for at least 6 months prior to screening. The study we are currently enrolling in is to find potential treatment options for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM). This is a research study, and your participation is voluntary. You may stop participating at any time. <Available and willing to commit to study visit structure: You will be asked to come to our clinic for 12 outpatient visits.  
 
The investigational medication in this study is a new type of oral medication for Type 2 Diabetics having a hard time controlling their A1C.
