About study

Obesity is a chronic health condition that affects millions of adults and can increase the risk of other health concerns, including heart disease, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and type 2 diabetes. Researchers continue to study new treatment options that may help people manage their weight and improve long-term health outcomes.

While injectable GLP-1 medications have helped many people, researchers recognize that not everyone prefers injections or finds them convenient for long-term use. This study is evaluating an investigational oral GLP-1 medication that will be taken once daily and may offer a more convenient treatment option for many people.
